GG DApp Open Beta — New Version
Last week we announced the deployment, in Polygon network, of the new version of our staking smart contract, used in GG DApp Open Beta. The staking contract was optimized and, most importantly, is now ready for the opening of the gaming pools. But it wasn’t just that, GG DApp itself was improved too, in this article we let you know what’s new!
GG DApp is an upcoming gaming platform plus DeFi ecosystem, with NFTs at its core, that aims to reward players, developers and liquidity providers.
Restake rewards feature is now available
GG Token (GGTK) holders can, since we launched GG DApp Open Beta in January, stake their tokens and benefit from the 1440 GGTK distributed every day in the General Pool. The ability to easily re-stake these rewards was something asked by the community for some time.
This feature is now live so you can re-stake your GGTK faster and paying less fees using the new “Restake Rewards” button. Make sure to use it and benefit from the current 119% APY!
Chainlink integrated to improve staking rewards distribution
Since we launched our open beta in the rewards distribution mechanism has been improved in new every version of GG DApp. In this new version we take a another step forward by integrating Chainlink Keepers to help automate the distribution of rewards to GGTK stakers. Rewards distribution is now a much more seamless, cost-efficient, and decentralised process.
This reward distribution was previously done in a centralized way, using cron jobs. However, we knew we needed to upgrade away from centralized automation solutions as they are prone to single points of failure. Chainlink Keepers enable us to decentralize this process and at the same time make sure this critical on-chain function is performed with enhanced security and efficiency.
By integrating Chainlink Keepers in our platform we’re also joining Chainlink’s community and ecosystem. That also means our project will get more exposure and support. Besides the mentions already done in their social media there will be more co-marketing efforts in the future.
