April was a month of huge developments for our project as we hit important milestones of our roadmap. Time for GGDApp’s fourth sprint review!

SimThunder Beta 1.0

April saw a huge development for Simracer Coin project, as the first private beta version of our sim racing assets marketplace, SimThunder, being developed in partnership with Cartesi, was launched!

SimThunder will enable sim racers to exchange sim racing items such as car setup files and skins, as well as NFTs that represent ownership of digital cars in private sim racing leagues, among others. SimThunder is powered by Descartes, Cartesi’s decentralized computational oracle and will be one of the first integrations of GG Dapp.

The Simthunder Beta is currently deployed in a private testnet but will migrate to a public testnet this month. There are currently three categories of items you can purchase or sell: car ownership NFTs, car setup files and car skins/paints.

We also plan to add other kinds of sim racing assets and NFTs, for example, private league or streamer collectibles and coaching services. Each private league will also be able to create it’s own collection of car ownership NFTs and, depending if the particular racing simulator permits, even it’s own car parts.

You can join the private Beta from our website, https://simthunder.com. You’ll get an invite to join our Discord channel and if you are a GG Token (GGTK) or Simracer Coin (SRC) holder, you can leave your Metamask address in the #simthunder channel and follow the instructions provided there so that your address is whitelisted.

Blockchain Gaming Alliance Membership

The Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) is an organization committed to promoting blockchain within the game industry. They spread awareness about blockchain technologies and encourage adoption by highlighting their potential to foster new ways to create, publish, play, and build strong communities around games. The BGA also provides an open forum for individuals and companies to share knowledge and collaborate, create common standards, establish best practices, and network.

We are very proud to have become a member of BGA this month, a group that includes well known names in the blockchain industry such as Enjin,, ConsenSys, Web3 Foundation and Aave, but also of mainstream giants such as AMD and Ubisoft! Having already important partnerships with Polygon (previously Matic), Cartesi and NULS we believe joining BGA will open opportunities to create more important partnerships, will help to increase our exposure in the blockchain gaming industry, to learn from the knowledge and experience of others and also to contribute to push foward blockchain gaming, with our vision and passion.

Last week our co-founder and CEO Miguel Gomes took part in BGA New Members Presentation and presented our vision of GG Dapp, our gaming platform and DeFi ecosystem, with NFTs at its core (see it in minute 56).

Pirates 2048 — New version and tournament

Progress has also continued in our other project, and GG Dapp integration, Pirates 2048. April 30th marked the second Pirates 2048 tournament and also our second beta version of 2021, with important fixes and improvements. There was a prize of $150 in $GGTK prize for the winner as well as a ticket to the Grand Tournament so the battle was fierce!

Intense sea battles last Friday!

This time Murphy decided to appear and so enabled us also to discover issues in this new version. We rolled back some of the code and during this month we plan to fix the issues found.

Meanwhile did you already see our story teaser?

We are now getting closer to major milestones of our roadmap so Sprint 5 promises to be a very intense one, stay tuned!
