Entering Q4 in full force, it’s time for GG DApp’s 9th Sprint review! This time a bit later than usual since we had our hands full! GG DApp is an upcoming gaming platform plus DeFi ecosystem, with NFTs at its core, that aims to reward players, developers and liquidity providers. Every month we write a review with all the recent updates and developments.
GG DApp first beta to launch in October 27th
The original plan was to launch it in September but Murphy’s law hit and we have decided to postpone the launch to October 27th. This was our main focus last month and will continue to be this month.
The beta of course is the prelude for the main launch of GG DApp into mainnet that is planned for December.
In GG DApp you will be able to stake your $GGTK to earn more from the rewards mechanism and also to earn other gaming tokens from each project in the ecosystem, getting early access to potential ‘gaming gems’ in the process.
Polygon mapping and QuickSwap listing
We are currently in the final stages of the mapping process of GGTK on the Polygon network, that will enable listing on Quickswap, a decentralised exchange similar to Uniswap but running on Polygon instead of Ethereum. This will be the second major listing and will allow token traders to bypass the high transaction fees that come with the Ethereum network at the moment.
Besides this it’s also an important milestone for GG DApp itself since, as announced earlier this year, will be also deployed in Polygon, taking advantage of its fast and low cost transactions.
Pirates 2048
Although our focus had to shift mainly for GG DApp beta we also continued the development in our Pirates 2048 game. The new version is now almost ready and as usual we will host a tournament to celebrate it and also test the new developments.
Pirates 2048, inspired by the movie “Water World”, is a browser-based multiplayer, (retro) futuristic pirate ship battle game that will be one of the first integrations to GG Dapp.
Pirates 2048 is still in beta but already deployed in Polygon main net. The goal of the game is to survive in the sea arena and earn enough points to enter the Grand Tournament at the end of the year. You will be also able to earn crypto and NFTs.
GG DApp in Web Summit
GG DApp will be present in this year’s edition of the Web Summit, starting in November 1st, one of the largest tech events in the world! Our startup Tokenwised was one of the selected for WebSummit‘s ALPHA program.
Web Summit is an annual technology conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, and has been described as the most important tech event in the world. The conference’s topics center on internet technology, emerging technologies, and venture capitalism. Web Summit partners range from Fortune 500 companies to startups, with attendees representing all levels and sectors of the global high technology industry. We will do our best to spread the word about GG DApp and we hope to see you there!
