Going strong into Quarter 3 of 2021, July was an exceptionally good month for GG Dapp and our community! GG Dapp is an upcoming gaming platform plus DeFi ecosystem, with NFTs at its core, that aims to reward players, developers and liquidity providers.
Pirates 2048 — New version and tournament
July 22nd saw our third Pirates 2048 tournament and the release of a new beta version of our game. Pirates 2048, inspired by the movie “Water World”, is a browser-based multiplayer, (retro) futuristic pirate ship battle game that will be one of the first integrations to GG Dapp.
Pirates 2048 is still in beta but already deployed in Polygon main net. The goal of the game is to survive in the sea arena and earn enough points to enter the Grand Tournament at the end of the year. You will be also able to earn crypto and NFTs.
In this new version we added the Harvester ships, true game changers since when you destroy one it leaves behind all the precious stones it collected. We also added the floating bottles, that act as a kind of loot boxes that might be empty or include collectible NFT items. We will be dropping Grand Tournament tickets in these bottles and soon also the Survivor Art NFTs — images and illustrations related to the game story.
NULS Nerve Integration
In July we also completed the integration with NerveNetwors’s NerveDEX. Nerve is a decentralized digital asset service network based on the NULS micro-services framework. Nuls holders, participating in the GG Dapp SCO are now able to stake Nuls and get GGTK in exchange as well as exchange those GGTK(NRC20) to the native GGTK(ERC20) token, one to one.
Having already important strategic partnerships with Polygon (previously Matic) and Cartesi this partnership with NULS and NERVE Network enables us to expand our exposure within the NULS community and its associated partners, including OKEX and Binance. NULS adds another dimension to our crypto gaming ecosystem with its versatility to work across 5 different blockchains in Nerve. The partnership started with GG Dapp joining NULS Proof of Credit Mining (POCM) platform.
SimThunder — 1.2 closer
Development also continued in SimThunder, our other gaming project and GG Dapp integration, this time focused on the section that enables users to explore and filter store items. We’re just some fixes away of having a 1.2 version ready.
SimThunder, being developed in partnership with Cartesi, will enable sim racers to exchange sim racing items such as car setup files and skins, as well as NFTs that represent ownership of digital cars in private sim racing leagues, among others. This is one of the core features of the Simracer Coin project, one of the first integrations in GG Dapp.
Wild GGTK Price Action
The last week of July saw significant inflows into GG Dapp and catalyzed growth in GGTK token price and volume. With token holders constantly increasing and also the growing expectations on blockchain gaming the GGTK price reflected this as we surpassed our last All Time High in July 29th, nearly reaching one dollar per token. While the team is focused on creating long term value, the demand that blockchain based gaming is experiencing was clearly reflected in the wild price action we saw at the end of July.
We believe that blockchain gaming will drive crypto mass adoption and our community can rest assured that GG Dapp team aims to spearhead the growth of the blockchain gaming space with the launch of its platform in Q4. We also plan to steadily continue growing the exposure of our project in the upcoming months.
BGA Demo Day
Last but not least, Friday 30th saw the GG Dapp team demoing our project in Blockchain Gaming Alliance DemoDay event. Our CEO Miguel Gomes spoke about GG Dapp and its initial integrations, showing the current progress of our project. You can watch it here:
