GG DApp Integrates Chainlink Keepers to Help Securely Automate Staking Rewards Distribution

We’re excited to announce that GG DApp — a blockchain gaming platform and DeFi ecosystem that rewards players, developers, and liquidity providers — has integrated Chainlink Keepers live on Polygon mainnet. We are leveraging Chainlink Keepers to securely and cost-efficiently help automate the distribution of rewards to GG Token (GGTK) stakers. As a result, rewards distribution is now a much more seamless, cost-efficient, and decentralised process.

We decided to decentralize GG DApp’s rewards distribution function using Chainlink Keepers because it is operated by the same pool of time-tested, provably reliable node operators that currently help secure tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, even during record levels of network congestion and extreme volatility. The proven infrastructure of Chainlink helps ensure that every reward distribution is executed on time in a trust-minimized manner, giving users additional guarantees that it will function exactly as intended.

We believe that gaming will drive crypto mass adoption and GG DApp aims to make it easy for crypto and non-crypto users to play and earn from crypto games. We want to create a success-sharing ecosystem, in which all those who help a gaming project to be a success are rewarded with crypto assets and NFTs.

Our blockchain gaming platform will reward not only the players but also external developers and liquidity providers. Players will earn crypto and NFTs by playing the games, external developers will get rewarded for integrating their game and token into the platform, and liquidity providers will be able to stake the token to increase earnings and benefit from the sales and transaction fees of the ecosystem.

In our current open beta, live on Polygon network, users can already stake GGTK in the General Pool where 1440 GGTK are distributed every day. This reward distribution was previously done in a centralized way, using cron jobs. However, we knew we needed to upgrade away from centralized automation solutions as they are prone to single points of failure. Chainlink Keepers enable us to decentralize this process and at the same time make sure this critical on-chain function is performed with enhanced security and efficiency.

Chainlink Keepers is a decentralized service purpose-built to manage tasks on behalf of smart contracts. Chainlink Keepers serve as decentralized, hyper-reliable, and economically incentivized automation bots that wake up smart contracts when they need to perform critical on-chain functions, which usually take place at regular time intervals (e.g., every day at the same time) or based on external events (e.g., when an asset hits a specific price).

Some of the notable features of Chainlink Keepers include:

• Decentralized Execution — Chainlink Keepers provide reliable, trust-minimized automation with no single point of failure, mitigating risks around manual processes and centralized servers.
• Increased Efficiency — Projects that use Chainlink Keepers are able to reduce time spent on DevOps, minimize operational overhead, and streamline development workflows.
• Enhanced Security — Chainlink Keepers sign on-chain transactions themselves, enabling automated smart contract execution without exposing private keys.
• Reduced Costs — Chainlink Keepers perform efficient off-chain computation for smart contracts, allowing developers to build feature-rich dApps at lower costs.

Besides the general pool already available in our open beta, we will soon open the gaming pools, where stakers will get exposure to the native token of each gaming project and/or a percentage of its sales/transaction fees. We plan to extend the usage of Chainlink Keepers to these pools as well.
